Wal-Mart could sell a 3G iPhone 4GB for 99 U.S. dollars

Currently in the U.S. Apple sells the iPhone 3G, 8 and 16 GB to 199 and 299 U.S. dollars respectively (with two separate two-year contracts to remain), but according to recent rumors, we could see a “return to the past” in the chain Wal-Mart supermarket.
It seems that there is reason to suspect that this chain will be sold soon iPhones 4GB capacity of just 99 U.S. dollars, and with the same two-year contract; in a possible measure to boost the purchase of the phone in times of Christmas and global economic crisis.
I insist that for now this is only a rumor, so we will have to wait for Apple to move some of its chips on the board. Nor do we know, for example, if the 4-GB iPhone would be exclusively for Wal-Mart or whether it would be launched officially for all stores, time will tell. I personally would seem strange that, but with the current state of the economy does not seem too unreasonable.
