Party with iTunes DJ
The most interesting feature of the new iTunes 8.1 iTunes DJ should be, which replaced the Shuffle. It allows iPhone and iPod Touches to your Wi-Fi at the request and vote for songs to add to the iTunes playlist DJ (which otherwise looks like the Shuffle). The more people vote for a song, the highest in the list to be moved, and the sooner you can play.
The only disadvantage of this approach is that all iPhones need to be in your Wi-Fi, which is annoying if you have an encrypted network. In addition, everyone must have the remote in your iPhone, but can easily download it directly from the iPhone App Store.
To configure iTunes DJ, you must first open iTunes on your Mac and click the Settings button under the iTunes playlist DJ. In the configuration, you must check the box to allow customers to request songs, and, optionally, type a welcome message. Also check the box for voting.

Now when you open the iPhone remotely, will happen in different ways depending on whether you have connected to your iTunes library. Linked iPhones are supposed to belong to the host, and therefore have the ability to play, pause, skip songs, and rearrange the playlist, as before. More »
