Marware announces Eco-Runner for iPod nano 5G is now shipping

Rumors Appear of a iPhone 3GS 8GB and iPod touch with new camera

Although Phil Schiller has informed the press that they had already listed all their product range for this year, a new leak to the contrary. First, it seems that AT & T is considering selling a version of 8 GB iPhone 3GS.

Today, the iPhone 3GS has only two models: the 16 and 32GB. The 8GB model is the “old” iPhone 3G at a discounted price with the intention to dispose of all stock of the model. But if you really are traces of a 3GS 8 GB, it appears that Apple’s plan has not gone very well.

Moreover, we have another leak of a seemingly reliable source about an iPod touch with a camera that would go on sale before the end of this month. There have been many traces of it in the form of bags and even videos of your case, but finally the pattern we saw in September did not have that component.

Normally Apple renews its range of portable in September / October, so it would be a new movement by now if it decides to launch Apple iPod touch with a camera. For now and as always, we have to wait.

Reclaim drive space by deleting iPod/iPhone firmware

Here is a quick and easy way to recover some disk space. When iTunes downloads a new firmware for your iPod or iPhone, the most important thing is not deleted. As they are quite large (for the iPhone, at least – about 250 MB for my iPhone 2G), can release more than 1 GB of disk space by deleting the former (which is usually not necessary anyway).

The firmware files are here:

~/Library/iTunes/iPhone Software Updates
~/Library/iTunes/iPod Software Updates

Simply enter the file names of the version numbers, and eliminate the oldest. If you are unsure, you can delete any event, such as iTunes and then re-download the latest version only when necessary (ie, a restoration of an iPhone).

Not great track, but always good to know.
