It’s the New Year! You can have your iPhone 3G Unlocked, or may be NOT
It is Year 2009! As promised, Dev Team delivers iPhone 3G unlock application “Yellowsn0w”. There are a couple surprises from Dev Team. First, contrary to their previous announcements, the unlock works on iPhone 3G’s with the latest baseband 02.28.00. iPhone users must install the latest firmware 2.2 update. This means every iPhone 3G’s can use yellowsn0w application to unlock their iPhone 3G. The second surprise is that the unlocking software is still in beta. And according to a poll by Gizmodo, only 34% of iPhone 3G users are able to unlock their iPhones while the other 66 percent cannot connect to their network after running yellowsn0w.
