Coconut Creek, Florida – MacFlite Software today is proud to announce Trip Plan 1.0.12, an update to their popular trip planning application for Mac OS X. Designed specifically for aviation professionals, Trip Plan is a unique trip planning solution for pilots. Developed from the ground up utilizing the latest Cocoa technologies, Trip Plan focuses on ease-of-use and sports a beautiful, yet comprehensive interface.

Trip Plan features detailed information for airports around the world, with a database of over 24,000 landing facilities and heliports worldwide. Its advanced search makes it very easy to find airports, even if the user doesn’t remember what the airport name or spelling is – which can be quite a challenge when looking for accurate data. Users can organize and name groups of airports according to their working style, be it trip numbers or geographical locations.

Along side the airport and FBO (fixed-base operations) information, the application also offers helpful hotel, transportation and catering info. And Skype users can take advantage of Trip Plan’s built-in Skype support too – one-click dialing to anywhere in the world. Trip Plan takes all the guess work out of pre-trip planning and facilitates printing airport information as well as schedules. Airport reports come in an 2 page easy-to-read print out along with all the FBO phone numbers and runway information.

Feature Highlights:
* Find over 24000 airports in an easy-to-use worldwide database
* Advanced Search
* Google Earth and Google Maps
* Airport Information
* FBO and Runway Information
* Hotel, Transportation and Catering
* Print Airport information
* Print Quick Trip Schedules
* Organize and group airports in any way
* Use Skype to call Handlers, FBO’s and Hotels around the world
* Updates itself Automatically

Among only one of Trip Plan’s most prolific features is its ability to give quick and accurate great circle distances and flight times between any airports in the database. By adding specific aircraft performance information, pilots can also plan landing and takeoff times based on timezone changes. This information is particularly useful when crossing multiple time zones in one trip. Additionally, Trip plan can give pilots quick fuel planning requirements based on their aircraft’s fuel burn. While this feature is no substitute for proper flight planning, it serves as an excellent preflighting tool.

“Trip Plan comes from where most successful software products come from,” said Steve McFerrin, founder of MacFlite Software. “I had a need that was not being fulfilled by other products. Trip Plan came from my own needs as a professional pilot. I had been using bloated “Windows” applications that just didn’t take the time to think about the experience or how the user was going to take advantage of the software. My goal was to make a trip planning application for pilots that was not only easy to use but something they would enjoy using. Thats the kind of experience I expect from good Mac software and the kind of experience I want to provide for my customers. When I hear one of our costumers say how easy Trip Plan is or how they wished other software worked like this, I know I’ve got it right.”

Trip Plan can be set to update itself any time there is new Data Cycle or a new application update. The user’s subscription data will be downloaded and automatically installed. No CD’s to get in the mail and no long drawn out updates to install. Just click ok when an update appears and Trip Plan will automatically download in the background and will prompt the user when the application is ready to restart. All application updates are free as long as the user’s subscription is active.

Minimum Requirements:
* Mac OS X Version 10.5 Leopard or later (Snow Leopard Compatible)
* Universal Binary for PowerPC and Intel
* 32.9 MB Hard Drive space
* Internet Connection required for automatic updates

Pricing and Availability:
Trip Plan 1.0.12 is available now at $129.00 (USD) for a one year subscription. All application updates are free and new airport data is automatically updated monthly via the internet. Trip Plan is free to try for 30 days, fully functional with no restrictions.

Although the list of issues resolved by the expected version of Snow Leopard 10.6.2 and in itself is quite extensive, it appears that the 500 Mb of this update (version combo, the custom for each team is much more light) still keep more juice from your lines of code. Thus, Adobe reported a series of errors affecting different versions of Photoshop and are now water under the bridge:

* Application occasionally would hang while opening or saving a file.
* Some images are not opening when dragged on the application icon in the Dock or in the case of the CS4 version, only one of them did as they crawled several.
* Crashes or errors in the program when using the Menlo typography in Photoshop and Premiere CS3 and CS4.
* The cursor does not display properly in Photoshop CS4.
* The option “Edit in Photoshop CS4″ did not work in 64-bit version of Lightroom on Mac OS X 10.6

* You could not drag items from the Safari icon in Photoshop (among other applications) in the Dock to open them.

As you see, is good news. In my particular problem when you drag images to the Dock icon to open them was giving me real headaches.

It seems that the problems continue after the latest update of OS X. In this case, the affected version 10.5.7 and is reported as a lot of users have encountered problems.

Perhaps that is affecting more people are problems with the USB ports on the first computers that had been launched with Intel processors, this problem makes connectivity with peripherals lost. There are also problems with the graphics and monitors.

Besides the problems mentioned above are others such as lack of sound, problems with WiFi, computers are shut down for no apparent reason, overheating …

The truth that the list of problems is long. Some have been lucky enough to install the combo update from Apple’s website instead of using software update, but in other cases this has not worked.

My personal experience was not entirely satisfactory. After downloading the package from software update, install it and restart the computer, and did not return to boot. I tried several things (check permissions, secure boot, etc …) but there was no way that the system starts. So at the end a complete reinstallation of Leopard was the only solution I found.
Marina del Rey, California – Premier provider of video desktop solutions, Amuse, Inc., today is pleased to introduce My Living Desktop 4.0 for Mac OS X, a complete rebrand of their highly popular video desktop and screen saver utility, Serene Saver Pro. My Living Desktop replaces the standard still desktop to which Mac users are accustomed, with a gorgeous video desktop that plays high-definition movies of the users choice.

With a focus on ease-of-use, My Living Desktop is a unique cross between a video desktop (moving wallpaper) and screen saver, offering an entirely new dimension of personalized computing experience. With its built-in video importer, users can effortlessly import their own movie scenes for use as video desktops. Anyone can now have beloved family movies, movies of friends and special events, vacation movies, and much more as their desktop, or as a superb screen saver.

“Even with the success of Serene Saver Pro, we wanted to re-brand it with a more meaningful title that immediately tells customers what the product is all about” said Kevin Kachikian CEO of Amuse, Inc. “We think My Living Desktop does that perfectly.” My Living Desktop continues to remain the #7 top download on Apple’s Download website and is a featured download and a Staff Pick.

For example, when the user launches a music player, My Living Desktop can disable and/or mute itself. When the user finishes listening, it will automatically turn back on.
