Dear Apple: Could We Have a Faster Way to Toggle Bluetooth on the iPhone?

March 24th, 2009 | No Comments | Posted in iPhone, iPhone 3G

iphone bluetooth a2dp 250x400 187x300 Dear Apple: Could We Have a Faster Way to Toggle Bluetooth on the iPhone?Dieter asked a while a quick way to change the flight mode on the iPhone – a triple-click the Start button, maybe. Yesterday he was, and I talk about all the new features of the iPhone Bluetooth 3.0 and it was a point – at this time, enable or disable Bluetooth, you must:

Wake up iPhone, slide to unlock, (perhaps a type of password), (possibly to return), click Settings, click General, click Bluetooth, then turn the switch ON / OFF.

This large amount of overhead in terms of mental “work” and physical interaction.

With Bluetooth headsets, speakers, stereo Bluetooth, Bluetooth connectivity for accessories, the immobilization of Bluetooth connectivity, P2P applications and games of P2P sharing, and so much faster way to change the Bluetooth phone would be greatly appreciated.

May triple-click does not work in terms of ease of use, but surely there must be another way? Perhaps the ON / OFF on the Main Settings page, just before the drilling boom? Jeremy thinks that enables users to add shortcuts configuration as icons on the main screen (as we do now with the bookmarks in Safari) work. Anyone have other ideas?

iphone 3g 300x196 Latest iPhone SDK hints at future Apple hardware

While users can not get their hands on the new operating system of the iPhone later this summer, developers have already downloaded the SDK from the search for a good start in creating new applications or integrate additional functionality to their already exist. Since entering the code, however, other interesting tidbits were brought to light which suggests that the new equipment is underway. The code refers to all current and previous generation product, code references have already been established as iPhone1, 1 for the iPhone, iPhone1, 2 for iPhone 3G; iPod1 1 to hit and iPod2, 1 second generation iPod touch. However, in addition to iphone2, 1 identifier equipment was observed in January, the next expected 3.0 software refers to a device iPhone 3.1 seconds, which might indicate that these are two different models in the pipeline.

There are also references to two iPod models without notice iPod2, 2 and iPod3, 1, and most fascinating for a couple of devices as described iProd0 1 and iFPGA which do not correspond to an identifiable category. Exactly what are those two is a guess – perhaps the rumored Tablet Mac? Feel free to speculate in the comments section.

What the iPhone OS 3.0 update might really mean

March 14th, 2009 | 2 Comments | Posted in iPhone, iPhone 3G

139388 iphone30 small original What the iPhone OS 3.0 update might really meanFile this under random concert days. All the stories of the next Apple iPhone OS 3.0, I think. And on reflection, I began to extrapolate. And if Apple is trying to beat Android in the mobile market with a partner / Internet / mini-notebook as a gadget?

We have already heard the story of migration smartphone Android mobile handset and other Internet devices. Asus spoke a version of its Android-based Eee PC NETBOOK series, and an android Archos Internet Tablet is based on plans, or product which is expected before the end of 2009. Recently, the rumor mill has been rife with speculation on a NETBOOK Apple device as soon.

Enter Apple with its highly functional iPhone OS 3.0. Regardless of the constraints implied the name “iPhone OS” gave him, the possibilities are endless for a mobile gadget that could run this operating system software. If Apple can repeat the success of their marriage iPhone hardware with software on other devices, could easily become a dominant force early in portable equipment.

I imagine an Apple for the usual spots, striking industrial design, a device that is easy to use, a device that can be just as special player, companion productivity (and yes, Apple finally requiring the addition of support for cut and paste), Internet and gaming machines. Applications for the above, therefore, and certainly more could come. And interoperability and sharing with the interface of the iPhone and iPod Touch might soon announce the rule if Apple could get enough traction with their machines. More »
