Should Apple fear Chrome OS?

After months of waiting, Google has recently left the public to begin to see the concept, design and performance of Chrome OS at its headquarters in Mountain View, California. The implementation of the development of an operating system by the giant Google is already feared by pure definition, since Chrome OS has all the ingredients to make a good community of users.
First, is made by Google. And we all know the level of adoption who get Google products for better and for worse. Few Internet users today are not reading their emails with gmail, chat with GTalk, review your RSS feeds with Google Reader and Google have proven Wave.
Second, Chrome OS is free and open source. Linux already has this, but Chrome OS (based on Debian) is presented as an alternative to a series of free distributions which are still quite difficult for the average user.
Finally, Chrome OS is an operating system that eliminates what many users do not use the same operating system, reducing to a browser vitamins with some extra options and offering a way to connect to the internet and using thousands of web applications in just 7 seconds boot (time they have already pledged to shorten even more).
So with all these advantages, fear Is Chrome Apple OS? My personal answer is that the initial approach that Google has given your system, Apple has nothing to fear at first, because users who use computers on the Cupertino company does not comply completely with the approach that has Google thought.
It is true that the cloud is increasingly present in the network, and Google Chrome to OS could be a perfect operating system for the user who has an ultraportable can surf the internet, chat, play games online, browse news, watch videos on Youtube or viewing photos and files from their cameras or USB drives. Some users of Mac OS X using the computer for this, but today there is no web application that offers the power of programs like Final Cut Pro, Logic or Aperture.
In addition, Chrome OS will not see light until 2010, so Apple has all the time in the world to innovate with the successor to Mac OS X Snow Leopard. Anyway, Google’s system is definitely an evolution and a concept that all companies should consider as it seems at hand the ideal system for the average user, and with long-term intentions of jumping to laptops and desktop computers. By then, seen as seen, we may have experienced major changes in the software of our computers. Will there be systems like Windows or Mac OS X relegated to more advanced users?
