139076 stanza2 original Review: Stanza for iPhone

I do not have a Kindle, and if I can sell your blood and faster, I’m not about to buy a new style soon. Even if I pre-ordered a Kindle today 2, I understand that my daughter has come before school before they could ship Amazon.

So instead, I will be content to continue to read to the former: In my iPhone.

I keep saying that e-books in hand and never completely replace traditional books. But with the iPhone, I have a refined taste in my RSS reader, lover of Instapaper (and rediscover some of the classics of the classics ().

As indicated earlier, Classics is a great application with a nice interface. But are limited to securities that developers and format of the cargo, which for the moment, 16 books are very slim. Most importantly for the purposes of this review, we can not add their own books. More »

automator slow down apps1 Speeding Up Login By Slowing Things Down

The title sounds like an oxymoron, but in theory, this method can increase the speed of access. A logon process usually follows these lines to enter your password, you will be authenticated. You will then begin to load items such as the Finder, Dock and other key processes. The last step is to load all the applications you have made the charge for the connection. This is where you can slow down the computer, the other measures that you can not do much. If you have 10 applications that you want to boot your Mac can access numbness, simply because they really highlight the hard drive. If you can time when you want to run applications that can accelerate the entry into a whole.

In fact, this method is very simple. Instead of having all elements of your connection to your account in setting the System Preferences to be replaced by a Autormator Script. Here you can adjust the time of release. The first, as you guessed in May, is to launch Automator.

Safari 4 Public Beta first impressions

picture 41 2 300x260 Safari 4 Public Beta first impressions

I play with the new public beta of Safari 4, both on Leopard and Windows 7 for hours. Here are my first impressions:

1. It is a bit slower on Windows in general. You do not know if it is in the final version, but it is remarkable.

2. The biggest difference you will notice that the chips have been displaced upwards. I am not a little, but I do not think it would take too long. This has the effect of signals from the Opera and Chrome. I wonder if each tab is its own process of chromium.

3. The Windows version actually looks like a Windows application … not like you dragged from Safari on a Mac to a Windows desktop Safari 3 and paste buttons on the window above.

4. The installation went well for me, but there are reports on the Internet that have problems. May you have to do with the plugins installed third. If this poses a problem for you, try removing and reinstalling Safari plugins. More »
